The Hortus Beer is a tasty, full flavoured, ochre coloured beer. Working together with the Hortus Botanicus and the Leiden Institute of Biology, they carefully picked the best botanicals to use in the beer. Bergamot gives the beer a bitter zing and fresh tones of citrus. Cinnamonleaf and Limeleaf impart the underlying warm spices and exciting aromas. Finally they used fresh seasonal flowers that they hand plucked in the Botanical Gardens. Dahlia’s, Rose petals, Japanese Hortensia, Hawaiian Hibiscus, Lovage, and Jasmine create a vibrant bouquet of sweet wild flowers that will sweep you away to a lush summers garden.
