Dit bier is een knipoog naar de Luxemburgse tijd van Uwe Kalms waar het bierbrouwen is begonnen. Tijdens zijn studie leerde hij Eric kennen en ze werden vrienden. Belgian Buddy dus. Gebrouwen volgens het Reinheitsgebot. Laag in koolzuur.

"Some 25 years ago in Luxembourg, I was exposed for the first time in my life to Belgian beers. A friend of mine, a Belgian by the way, introduced me to the incredible beer culture of Belgium and I fell in love with especially the fantastic abbey Tripels. This beer is in honour of my two Belgian Buddies (my friend and the Tripel ;-)) Brewed in the purest tradition of Tripels, I add no spices and no additional sugars. The 9.1% are a result of a shitload of the finest malts and the spicy flavor is the artwork of the pure Belgian Tripel yeast. The Belgian Buddy is a True To The Style Belgian Tripel!"
