"Our Six Anniversary beers are inspired by the original Moersleutel family. The four founding brothers and their parents. All still going strong at the brewery! Step one of this six-course anniversary menu is MAX. Max’s beer is a New England Double IPA. Probably one of the thickest you’ve ever tasted (nothing personal, Max! We mean thick as your wonderful character!). Brewed with loads of tasty hops. Especially a lot of Idaho7, as he loved our Idaho7x7 IPA so much. This resulted in a lucious, hazy, somewhat tropical sweet, but still hoppy NEDIPA. With 8% a decent starter for this 6-course menu. And did we mention it’s THICK already?! Max is our Engineering Wizkid. We brew beers, but also build machines that breweries need! Besides being our machine designer (and designer machine) at Zomerdijk Engineering, Max keeps a keen eye in the brewery. Every other Friday afternoon he comes by for a beer and always comes up with potential improvements. To reward his great job and readiness to help us, we asked him: "What beer do you want us to make in your honor?" He replied: "Tripel". But then we didn't actually listen to him, and surprised him with this Double IPA. Sorry Max, but we’re really glad you like your beer!"
