IPA - Flavored

Beschrijving

The Flavored India Pale Ale (IPA) is used to describe a hop-forward, bitter, dryish beer with a clear flavoring element. It's an harmonious marriage of the additive and beer, but still recognizable as a beer. The additive character should be evident but in balance with the beer. It is a generally a decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American ale, showcasing modern American or New World hop varieties. The balance is hop-forward, with a clean fermentation profile, dryish finish, and clean, supporting malt allowing a creative range of hop character to shine through. Color and taste can vary since many substyles exist, which can be further influenced by the added additive. (For example: fruits, spices, herbs, vegetables, coffee, honey, chocolate, maple sirup, chilies, nuts, vanilla, liquor - BUT not including Smoked malt, barrel-aging or a Sour element resulting from the brewing process)
